- EC 7th Framework grant “EuroCHIP” (2009-2113). I am one of 7 Partners, coordinated from Cambridge, investigating gut-brain signalling in energy balance regulation. I receive 380,000 € over 4 years.
- Swedish Medical Research Council (2010-2012). Mechanisms underlying ghrelin’s effects on appetite, reward and mood. 600,000 SEK per year for 3 years.
- ALF Gothenburg. 1 M SEK over 2 years (Ends 2010).
- SSF Grant to the Sahlgrenska Center for Metabolism and Cardiovascular Research. This grant is coordinated by Prof Jan Boren and I am one of 11 Partners. 45 M SEK from which I received funding for one post-doctoral scientist for 3 years.

- Swedish Foundation for International Co-operative Research (1999-2000). 2 year grant. Long term studies of growth hormone secretagogues. Principal investigator. (340,000 SEK).
- European Commission 5th Framework grant (2000-2003). Growth hormone secretagogues in aging. I was Coordinator of this grant that had 5 European partners, including one company (NovoNordisk A/S, Copenhagen). The grant was rated number 1 out of 211 applications. (€1,018,000 = 9,620,000 SEK).
- Wellcome Trust Integrative Animal and Human Physiology (2001-2006). The Cambridge/ Oxford Integrative Physiology Consortium for the Study of Common Metabolic Disease. I am a co-applicant on this grant co-ordinated by Professor Steve O’Rahilly, Cambridge University. (£5 million = 68,016,000 SEK).
- British Heart Foundation (2002-2005). Programming of appetite by nutrition in early life. Co-applicant with Prof N Hales, Cambridge University. £138,990 = 1,891,000 SEK).
- Swedish Medical Research Council (2003-2006). Cross-talk between peripheral tissues and the hypothalamus for the control of appetite, body weight and metabolism. (1,100,000 SEK).
- Novo Nordisk Fonden (2005). Central actions of the adipokines resistin and adiponectin (125,000 SEK).
