1. Översiktlig projektbeskrivning
Engelsk titel
Tissue engineered blood vesselsSammanfattning av projektet
Detta projekt syftar till att utveckla biologiska blodkärl.Bakteriell cellulosa används som stödjevävnad. Tekniken vi har medför att cellulosarör kan tillvärkas. Cellinväxt in vitro och in vivo studeras. I djurexperimentella modeller analyseras rörens egenskaper efter kort- och långtidsimplantation
Typ av projekt
ForskningsprojektMeSH-termer för att beskriva ämnesområdet
Inlagda MeSH-termer- Blood Vessel Prosthesis
- Prosthesis, constructed of either synthetic or biological material, which is used for the repair of injured or diseased blood vessels.
- Prostheses and Implants
- Artificial substitutes for body parts, and materials inserted into tissue for functional, cosmetic, or therapeutic purposes. Prostheses can be functional, as in the case of artificial arms and legs, or cosmetic, as in the case of an artificial eye. Implants, all surgically inserted or grafted into the body, tend to be used therapeutically. IMPLANTS, EXPERIMENTAL is available for those used experimentally.
- Blood Vessel Prosthesis Implantation
- Surgical insertion of synthetic or biological material to repair injured or diseased blood vessels.
- Cardiovascular Surgical Procedures
- Surgery performed on the heart or blood vessels.
- Vascular Surgical Procedures
- Operative procedures for the treatment of vascular disorders.
- Prosthesis Implantation
- Surgical insertion of a prosthesis.
- Blood Vessels
- Any of the tubular vessels conveying the blood (arteries, arterioles, capillaries, venules, and veins).
- Cardiovascular System
- The HEART and the BLOOD VESSELS by which BLOOD is pumped and circulated through the body.
