The effect of acupuncture on allergic rhinitis: a randomized controlled clinical trial

Sammanfattning av projektet

Att ge akupunktur i förebyggande syfte mot allegisk rhinit, en randomiserad
studie som innefattade fyrtio patienter. Tjugo patienter fick aktiv akupunktur,
tjugo patienter fick inaktiv akupunktur. Tester utfördes genom pricktest och
vanligt allergiblodprov.

Acupuncture Therapy

Allergic rhinitis that occurs at the same time every year. It is characterized by acute CONJUNCTIVITIS with lacrimation and ITCHING, and regarded as an allergic condition triggered by specific ALLERGENS.

Skin Tests

Epicutaneous or intradermal application of a sensitizer for demonstration of either delayed or immediate hypersensitivity. Used in diagnosis of hypersensitivity or as a test for cellular immunity.

Treatment Outcome

Evaluation undertaken to assess the results or consequences of management and procedures used in combating disease in order to determine the efficacy, effectiveness, safety, practicability, etc., of these interventions in individual cases or series.
